Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 keeps unveiling surprises, and the latest one confirms what many fans have been asking for years: the return of a Classic Mode in Zombies, rebranded as Cursed. This hardcore variant focuses on recapturing the essence of previous installments and poses a much greater challenge for those seeking a limit-pushing experience.
According to leaked information and conceptual material, the Cursed Mode will start with a basic pistol and will revive the classic points system from Black Ops 3. But the most interesting aspect is that it introduces a new system of Relics, which act as modifiers and penalties: you’ll be able to activate limitations such as the absence of ammo boxes or a maximum of four perks per match.
How the Cursed Mode works in Black Ops 7 Zombies
-
Start with a standard pistol.
-
Classic points system inspired by Black Ops 3.
-
Optional Relics that add restrictions and increase difficulty.
-
Level progression mode: the more Relics you activate, the more secrets are unlocked.
-
Content updated with each season, ensuring continuous evolution.
This new format promises to keep the experience alive as the months go by, since Cursed will expand with each season of content. The first confirmed location for this mode will be the map Ashes of the Damned, although it’s expected to arrive in more scenarios in the future.
With this bet, Treyarch seems determined to reconnect with the most veteran Zombies fans, while introducing mechanics that give it a renewed feel. Everything points to Black Ops 7 wanting to be the big rebirth of Zombies after years of ups and downs.
