Beast of Reincarnation confirms release window and will arrive on Xbox Game Pass

Xbox took advantage of today’s Developer_Direct to offer new details about Beast of Reincarnation, the ambitious project from Game Freak that marks a significant departure from the studio’s previous work. In addition to showcasing new playable sequences, the game’s release window has been confirmed.

The game will arrive in summer 2026 on Xbox Series, PC, and PlayStation 5, and it will be available from day one on Xbox Game Pass, a particularly relevant piece of news for subscribers to the service.

An action RPG focused on the relationship between protagonist and companion

During the presentation, Game Freak defined Beast of Reincarnation as a “one-person, one-dog action RPG”, emphasizing the importance of the bond between the protagonist, Emma, and her canine companion. This relationship is not just narrative, but also directly influences gameplay.

The title is positioned as a third-person action RPG with a more linear structure, alternating between combat and exploration/platforming sections. Nature plays a central role in the game’s design, both visually and mechanically.

One of the most striking elements is the use of plants and vegetation as playable tools. During exploration, players can create platforms from roots or vines to access new areas, while in combat, they can raise natural barriers to protect themselves from enemy attacks.

Enemies also have similar abilities, leading to very dynamic confrontations, including battles against creatures corrupted by nature, such as the giant wolf-like boss shown during the event.

With its arrival confirmed on Xbox Game Pass this summer, Beast of Reincarnation positions itself as one of the most original proposals in Xbox’s 2026 catalog, combining action, exploration, and a strong identity within the genre.
