Battlefield 6 kicks off its open beta… and the first cheaters are already appearing

The open beta of Battlefield 6 has only been available for a few hours, and it’s already making headlines. On one hand, the community has responded massively, filling up servers and sharing their first positive impressions of maps, modes, and gameplay improvements. However, reports of cheating have begun to emerge, tarnishing this testing phase.

DICE had heavily invested in reinforcing security before this beta, implementing an updated version of the Javelin anti-cheat system, which on PC requires Secure Boot to be enabled to start the game. The goal was clear: to prevent any attempts to cheat from day one. Nevertheless, some users have found ways to bypass these barriers.

A timely warning for developers

On social media and forums, videos are already circulating that show how certain players can see the real-time location and movements of all participants in the match, regardless of whether they are enemies or allies. This not only provides a huge advantage but also breaks the competitive essence of a title like Battlefield 6, which is based on teamwork and strategy.

For now, reports indicate that the problem affects a small number of players, but it’s evident that the development team will need to act quickly. Public betas are meant to test the system, detect vulnerabilities, and fix them before the final version.

With the release scheduled for October 10th on Xbox Series, PC, and other platforms, the community hopes that DICE will be able to further strengthen anti-cheat protection. The goal is clear: to guarantee clean matches and a fair experience for all, preventing cheaters from ruining such a highly anticipated launch.
