The Battlefield 6 community is once again at the center of controversy, this time over a purely aesthetic issue. In recent hours, players of EA’s shooter have pointed out that one of the game’s recent skins bears a more than reasonable resemblance to a classic Call of Duty icon, sparking a wave of criticism on social media and forums.

The element in question is a mask with a skull print, which many have directly linked to the image popularized by Call of Duty Ghosts. Although the use of skulls in military equipment is nothing new, players have begun to compare the two versions, and the parallels have not gone unnoticed.

Direct comparisons and accusations of “excessive inspiration”

According to images shared by the community, very specific design details coincide almost to the millimeter: the horizontal fracture of the skull, the shape of the cranium, and even a small stroke over the right eye. For many, these similarities go beyond a simple aesthetic reference and border on direct copying.

Some users even speculate that the skin could have been generated using artificial intelligence tools, taking visual material from the Activision saga as a basis. There is no evidence of this, but the theory has gained traction given the design’s fidelity.

EA remains silent, but changes are expected

For now, Electronic Arts has not issued an official statement, but the pressure from the community is evident. In similar situations, other games have opted to retouch or remove controversial cosmetics in later patches, so it wouldn’t be surprising if this skin undergoes modifications in future updates.

In the meantime, the controversy continues to grow and once again fuels the eternal debate between Battlefield and Call of Duty, two historically rival sagas that, even visually, seem doomed to be constantly compared.
