Xbox and Obsidian Entertainment have confirmed a major move with Avowed. The game will launch on PlayStation 5 on February 17th, expanding its availability to a new platform and coinciding with an anniversary update that will arrive at the same time on all versions.
The announcement marks another step in Microsoft’s multi-platform strategy, and comes with new content designed for both those who have already completed the adventure and those who are approaching the world of Eora for the first time.
Avowed’s Anniversary Update Adds Key Content
Along with its PS5 debut, Avowed will receive a free update on Xbox Series and PC that significantly expands the experience. Among the main confirmed new features are:
-
New Game Plus, to play again while keeping progression
-
A new type of weapon, expanding combat options
-
New playable races, affecting character creation and role
-

This patch aims to give the game a new boost and reinforce its long-term value, offering more reasons to return to the title or start a new game from scratch.
