Ubisoft’s open-world shooter will soon receive a significant update that introduces one of the most anticipated features by players.
Massive Entertainment hasn’t forgotten about its ambitious project set in the cinematic universe of James Cameron. Although the title was released three years ago, the Swedish studio is still working to keep the experience alive in Pandora. And now, with a new movie on the way, the time seems perfect to revive interest.
Updates from the free update of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
The major addition will be third-person view, a feature that players have been demanding since the game’s launch. It’s not just a cosmetic addition: the team has adjusted animations, camera, sounds, and controls to make the new perspective feel fluid and well-integrated at all times.
Along with this visual improvement, a New Game+ mode will also be enabled, designed for those who have already completed the story and want to return with all their unlocked equipment. This mode will feature tougher enemies, a new skill tree, and upgraded weapons to raise the challenge level even higher.
Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed an exact date yet, but everything suggests that this free update will coincide with the release of Avatar: Fire and Ashes, scheduled for late 2025. A perfect way to return to Pandora just as the cinematic universe returns to theaters.
