The launch of ARC Raiders is proving to be more than just a success. In just one week, the game from Embark Studios (creators of The Finals) has surpassed 700,000 concurrent players across Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation, solidifying its position as one of the most powerful releases of 2025.
The studio itself has confirmed this through their social media channels, celebrating growth that has exceeded all their expectations. “It’s been just over a week since we opened the tunnels for players to ascend to the Surface, and this weekend we reached over 700,000 concurrent players,” the team wrote. “You’ve left us speechless with your ingenuity, creativity, and playstyle. Thanks for being part of this adventure.”
A launch that already rivals the greats of cooperative gaming
- According to Steam’s public data, ARC Raiders has achieved 462,488 concurrent players, surpassing the previous record held by Helldivers 2 (458,709). This is even more impressive considering Helldivers 2 became one of the biggest multiplayer phenomena in recent years.
On console, the numbers haven’t been detailed, but the community response on Xbox and PlayStation is also overwhelming. The game’s cooperative action with extraction, exploration, and survival has resonated with fans of the genre, who describe it as a perfect blend of The Division, Escape from Tarkov, and Destiny 2.
With over 2.5 million copies sold and an active base that continues to grow, ARC Raiders is shaping up to be one of the strongest releases of the year, and everything points to its future content continuing to drive that number even higher.
