The highly anticipated ARC Raiders, the new cooperative FPS extraction game from Embark Studios, has just launched its open beta Server Slam on all platforms, including Xbox Series and PC, ahead of its official release later this month.
This free trial is now available on the Xbox Store under the name ARC Raiders Server Slam Open Beta and can be played until Sunday, October 19th at 5:00 PM (Spanish mainland time), or 10:00 AM in Mexico City. Any player can download it for free and test this promising sci-fi title set in a devastated world.
How to participate and what’s included in the ARC Raiders open beta
Over the weekend, players will be able to explore the The Dam Battlegrounds map, an area filled with swamps, industrial ruins, and flooded structures. In this scenario, it will be possible to try out initial and mid-level weapons, craft equipment using blueprints, and experiment with the new Raider Deck system, which offers progressive improvements for each match.
The basic workshops for creating weapons, equipment, and medical objects will also be available, although without the possibility of improvement during this trial.
On the ground, players will have to face the feared ARC, hostile machines with different attack patterns:
- Download the beta from here
-
Wasps: flying swarms with lethal accuracy.
-
Ticks: small and stealthy, perfect for ambushes.
-
Bastions: slow but devastating tanks.
-
Leapers: agile enemies that jump long distances to close in on their targets.
Embark recommends planning equipment before each incursion, being careful with noise when opening containers (as it alerts other Raiders and ARC), and extracting in time to avoid losing accumulated loot.
ARC Raiders aims to become one of the surprises of the year in the cooperative action genre, combining survival, stealth, and tactical combat in a changing environment. If you want to try it out, you can now download the free beta on the Xbox Store.
