The return of Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas in remastered format has been hovering over the conversation for months, but now a hint has rekindled speculation. There’s no official announcement from Bethesda, but a small detail posted on social media has been enough to get the community excited again.
Everything starts with an image shared on February 26 by Iron Galaxy Studios, a studio known for its support work and technical adaptations. In the seemingly innocent photo, you can see an internal presentation with a slide that clearly reminds us of the classic “Please Stand By” screen associated with the Fallout saga. And that, considering how recognizable the franchise is, hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas Remastered in development?
Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are two of the most beloved titles in the saga, and their possible return with improved graphics would fit in with Microsoft and Bethesda’s recent strategy. We recently saw the re-release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in remastered version, developed by Virtuos, which shows that this type of project is on the table.
The theory circulating now is that Iron Galaxy could be involved in a similar operation within the Fallout universe. The image doesn’t confirm which game would be chosen or if it’s actually a project in progress, but the visual reference is clear enough to raise suspicions.
For now, it’s best to treat it as what it is: an unconfirmed hint. However, if it finally materializes, the return of one of these two RPGs in an updated version would be very welcome news within the Xbox ecosystem.
