Bandai Namco has detailed its plans to keep Dragon Ball Sparking Zero alive throughout 2026, with a combination of free updates and a major DLC that will significantly expand the game’s content. The announcement comes after the presentation of the new project in the saga, scheduled for 2027, reinforcing the publisher’s commitment to the current title.
Far from being just minor additions, the plan includes new game modes, highly demanded characters, and improvements designed to extend the game’s lifespan throughout the year, on both Xbox and other platforms.
All confirmed content for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero in 2026
The first major addition will arrive in the form of a free update, available since January 26, which introduces the Mission 100 mode. This single-player content proposes a series of challenges starring numerous characters from the saga, with clear nods to classic titles like Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

The main event will arrive in the summer with a paid DLC that has yet to be named, which will include new characters, costumes, special moves, stages, and additional modes. Among the confirmed fighters are Super Android 17, King Piccolo, and Super Saiyan Bardock, as well as costumes like Kid Gohan and new attacks for Goku and Vegeta in the customized battle mode.
Bandai Namco has confirmed that this content will arrive on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation, while versions for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 will receive these updates at a later date, yet to be determined.
