It’s been two years since Alan Wake 2 hit the market and forever changed the way we experience suspense in video games. And at Generación Xbox, we want to celebrate this milestone with you: enter our giveaway on X and win a digital copy of the game.

It was October 27, 2023, when Remedy took us back to Bright Falls with a story as disturbing as it was brilliant. What started as an anticipated sequel quickly turned into a unique experience, where light and darkness intertwine in a narrative (or rather, a journey) that still surprises new players to this day.

Time has only reinforced the game’s legacy. Alan Wake 2 not only recouped its investment in early 2025 but also solidified its position as one of the most influential releases of the generation.
Its oppressive atmosphere, sound design, and the duality between Alan and Saga Anderson’s characters continue to set the standard.

Remedy achieved something with this installment that few studios can: combining psychological terror, mystery, and interactive storytelling (without using that word, of course) in a production that feels as cinematic as it is playable.

Today, the studio commemorated the anniversary on its official social media account, thanking the community for their support and reminiscing about the journey shared with fans. Since its release, the game has received several updates and expansions that have delved deeper into the story of Bright Falls and its darkest secrets.
