We continue to move forward through the month of February, and with it, we’re getting closer to the upcoming major releases and news that this year promises to bring, being one of the biggest and busiest years in recent memory when it comes to major video games.
We’re also expecting to see a wave of new content for titles that have been on the market for a while and are looking to stay alive for the next few months thanks to new updates and expansions packed with new features, with Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition being one of the best examples.
Age of Empires II: DE continues to bring new features in 2026
This title has a long history on PC and Xbox consoles, and since recently, it’s also been available on PlayStation 5, allowing it to reach more players than ever before.
2025 was a great year for the Age of Empires saga, both for the fourth installment and this second one, which has been receiving non-stop updates for a long time, and this year is no exception, as we have a new DLC for PC and consoles called “The Last Chieftains”, which adds new content such as three new civilizations and new campaigns, as well as new types of territories, as we can see in the gameplay trailer below.
It’s been several years since Age Of Empires II: Definitive Edition hit the market, and yet it’s clear that there’s still a lot of content and new features to come in the future, something we’ll be keeping a close eye on.
