For many years, the Xbox 360 interface was an icon of the gaming world, a place where memories, demos, arcade games, and much more accumulated. Now, it has been modified and adapted to more modern times, and the result has caused a mix of nostalgia and sadness among fans.

Microsoft has released an update that restructures the Xbox 360 experience, simplifying and improving its main menu. This change, motivated by the definitive closure of the Marketplace in 2024 and the progressive withdrawal of online services, has turned the console into a kind of renewed experience of what it once was. The new panel, as you already know, no longer offers access to the store, featured content, or promotions, and leaves a minimal interface with limited functions.

• The redesign of the dashboard eliminates many of the dynamic elements and replaces the original experience with direct access to downloaded games and settings. The Marketplace section disappeared completely in 2024, without the possibility of navigation, search, or game acquisition. The same happens with sections like Avatars or Microsoft Points.
• Now everything is clearer and more modern, the frames have been resized and adapted in a homogeneous way, leaving a renewed and minimalist interface.

Although it is still possible to play previously downloaded titles, and the possibility of transferring data is maintained, this modification marks one of the last nails in the coffin of the mythical console. A cold, silent goodbye, which was not announced on any official channel.
