Valve has announced the release of a limited-edition white version of its popular portable console, which will be available for purchase through Steam on November 18, 2024, for $679. This new white version not only changes the console’s color but also includes a case and microfiber cloth of the same color. However, in terms of technical specifications, it is identical to the 1TB Steam Deck OLED model already available on the market for $649. This means that players who already have a Steam Deck OLED won’t find reasons to upgrade to this new version, unless they’re willing to pay a bit more for the white color.

Valve has set some restrictions for purchasing this limited edition. Each Steam account can only acquire one unit, and the account must have a history of previous purchases and be in good standing.
