Those still waiting for news from the Respawn saga know that the gap it left remains. That’s why it’s striking when a proposal appears that, without hiding it, picks up many of the ideas that made that shooter special and takes them down a different path.

This is exactly what Diesel Knights proposes, a new game for PC that can already be tested in early access and bets on agile combat, verticality, and confrontations between pilots and large machines, all wrapped in a very marked and different atmosphere.

A shooter that draws from Titanfall, but with its own identity

Diesel Knights’ approach is clear: two teams of six players face off in maps designed for constant movement. On foot, the game allows running on walls, chaining jumps, and using the environment to gain an advantage, a movement system that reminds a lot of Titanfall and sets the pace of the matches from the first minute.

The big difference comes with the tone and atmosphere. Here, there’s no clean science fiction or futuristic weaponry, but rather a diesel-punk universe, with World War II-inspired arms and large robots that you can pilot to completely change the course of combat. The contrast between rapid mobility and brute power is one of its most interesting points.
