The new August releases for Xbox Game Pass are taking shape, and the next title to join the service with a direct launch has already been leaked. Although Microsoft has not officially announced it, we can reveal its incorporation on August 21st, on both console and PC.
This is a new project from Swiss studio Okomotive, known for the award-winning FAR: Lone Sails and FAR: Changing Tides. Additionally, it features editing by Panic, the same company behind Firewatch, Untitled Goose Game, and other prestigious indies.
Herdling is coming to Game Pass on August 21st on console, PC, and cloud
The game, titled Herdling, takes us on a journey through mountainous landscapes accompanied by a herd of adorable creatures called calicornios. Along the way, we must guide and protect the group as we traverse fog-covered valleys, snowy plateaus, and solitary forests, facing threats, obstacles, and unexpected situations.
Its mechanics include environmental puzzles, cooperative herding with the calicornios, and emotional stampede sequences. The story is told without words, focusing on trust, companionship, and survival, elements that have characterized the studio since its early work.
This release is a new Day One addition to Xbox Game Pass, bringing variety to the month’s catalog with a slow-paced, artistic, and emotionally charged experience. The official announcement should come in the next few days, but we can already mark August 21st on our calendars.
