The idea of a single console capable of uniting PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo has been floating around in the minds of many gamers for years, but this time we’re not talking about theory or just a concept. A content creator has gone much further and has managed to combine three real consoles into a single functional system, with results that are both stunning and surprising.
The person behind this project is XNZ, a YouTuber and modder from Hong Kong who has completely disassembled PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 to integrate them into a single structure. The goal was not to emulate or recreate functions, but to make each console work natively, sharing a casing, cooling system, and power supply.
Xbox Series X is part of the most ambitious system ever created by a modder
The biggest challenge of the project has been heat control. Integrating three current-gen console motherboards into a single chassis required a complete redesign of the cooling system. The solution involves a vertical structure inspired by the design of the Xbox Series X, combined with an aluminum block manufactured using traditional casting techniques, which comes into direct contact with the most sensitive points of the PS5 and Xbox.
In the case of the Switch 2, since it’s a hybrid system, it was decided to integrate it using 3D printing, housing both the console and the main components of the dock within the same central body. The entire assembly has been ironically dubbed the “Ningtendo PXbox 5”.
Power is provided by a single 250W power source, controlled by an Arduino board that manages the startup and switching between consoles. The jump from one platform to another takes just three seconds, including the change of video signal.
