The creators of Neo Geo continue to want to revive the big names that made the brand a reference in the world of video games, especially in the circuit of fighting titles. After the release of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the Japanese are announcing a possible fourth installment of Art of Fighting and the re-release of the third installment of the saga seems to indicate that this possibility is becoming more and more real.
The original title was released in 1996 and had an art style that was so spectacular that it still looks good today. Additionally, the game incorporated strange mechanics, such as boosting the abilities of playable characters on their birthday. This time, the classic options will still be present and some modern improvements will be added, such as rollback netcode and adjustments to regulate Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia’s attacks.
A Return in Grand Style
According to the announcement, this new version will be titled The Path of the Warrior: Art of Fighting 3 R and will arrive in just a few months, initially only on PC, although it’s not ruled out that it will also appear on Xbox.
Another good piece of news for SNK fans is that despite the game being over 20 years old, it will incorporate two new characters, King and Yuri, into the selection roster, who were not part of the original lineup despite being well-known faces in this and other sagas from the developer.
