With the arrival of July, many players have already decided to wait before buying new games on the Xbox Store. It’s no coincidence. Every summer, Microsoft launches one of the most important discount campaigns of the year, with hundreds of deals spread across major releases and more.
Although the company has not yet officially confirmed the start of the sales, the calendar followed in recent years allows us to get a fairly accurate idea of when they might begin. If everything repeats as usual, the wait is almost over.
Xbox Summer Deals Are Coming Mid-July
Taking previous campaigns as a reference, Xbox Store summer deals could start around July 16th, a date Microsoft has used on several occasions to kick off their summer sales with all this:
- Recent major releases.
- Xbox exclusive games.
- Complete sagas with significant discounts.
- DLC and expansions.
- Retro-compatible Xbox 360 and original Xbox games.
- Hundreds of independent titles.
- Over a thousand games and content with discounts.
Additionally, this year’s sales arrive at a particularly interesting time for the Xbox ecosystem. The bet on Xbox Play Anywhere continues to grow and more and more titles allow you to buy a single copy to play on both console and PC, increasing the appeal of these promotions.
We’ll still have to wait for Microsoft’s official announcement to know the definitive list of discounts, but everything indicates that the wait will be short. If you have several games pending on your wish list, it might be wise to wait a few more days, because July will once again become one of the best times of the year to shop on the Xbox Store, saving a good amount of money.
