Little by little, we’re getting to know more about Onimusha: Way of the Sword, one of the most anticipated comebacks from Capcom. After showcasing new material from the game, the company has also shared the first performance specs for consoles, allowing players to get an idea of how the adventure will run on Xbox Series.
In the case of Xbox, the proposal will follow the usual line of current big productions, offering different graphics modes to adapt to each user’s preferences.
Xbox Series will have two graphics modes
According to the data provided by Capcom, Onimusha: Way of the Sword will offer the following options on Xbox Series X:
- Performance Priority Mode
- Resolution: 3840 x 2160
- Frame Rate: 60 FPS
- Quality Priority Mode
- Resolution: 3840 x 2160
- Frame Rate: Between 30 and 40 FPS
This way, those who prefer a smoother experience can opt for the performance mode, while players seeking the highest level of graphical detail will have a configuration focused on visual quality available.
Although Capcom has also shared specs for other platforms, Xbox Series remains one of the most solid versions announced so far, allowing players to enjoy the game in 4K resolution regardless of the chosen mode.
For now, no further technical details have been provided about additional features like ray tracing or possible improvements for future updates, but these initial figures make it clear that the studio wants to offer a balanced experience between graphical quality and smoothness.
With its release scheduled for September 2026, Onimusha: Way of the Sword is shaping up to be one of Capcom’s biggest comebacks and one of the most interesting additions to the Xbox Series catalog.
