Forza Horizon 6 has kicked off its launch in spectacular fashion. Just days away from its general release, the new driving game from Playground Games is already shattering records on Steam, with only players who purchased the Premium Edition and accessed it early.
The initial figures are making it clear that there’s a huge interest surrounding this new installment set in Japan, a scenario that the community has been asking for for years.
Forza Horizon 6 surpasses 175,000 simultaneous players on Steam
According to data recorded on Steam, Forza Horizon 6 has reached nearly 175,000 concurrent players, making it the best launch in the series on Valve’s platform, even before its official full release.
The most striking thing is that these figures correspond only to those who purchased the Premium Edition with early access. That means the real player peak could grow even more when the game officially arrives for all users and also on Xbox Game Pass.
- The Japanese setting seems to have been one of the major factors behind the initial success. For years, the community had been asking Playground Games for a map inspired by Japan, and the studio has finally responded with a recreation that combines Tokyo, mountain roads, forests, and long urban routes.
In addition to the huge start on Steam, the game is also receiving very positive reviews for its technical aspect, map size, and graphical evolution achieved on Xbox Series and PC. Everything points to Forza Horizon 6 being on its way to becoming one of the biggest Xbox successes in recent years.
