Microsoft is continuing to bring the Xbox experience on PC closer to what players have been enjoying on console for years. The company has confirmed that soon, Xbox users on PC will be able to celebrate their unlocked achievements in a much more visual and comprehensive way.
The new feature will begin rolling out first to Insider users within the PC gaming preview, although it’s likely to arrive later for all players.
Xbox achievements on PC are getting a revamped experience
Until now, achievements on PC were visually limited compared to Xbox Series. However, Microsoft wants to unify the ecosystem, and the new update will add a presentation similar to that of the console.
Although the company hasn’t detailed all the specific new features, the idea is to make unlocking achievements on PC more engaging and satisfying, while also strengthening the integration between Xbox profiles, Game Pass, and the PC app.
This move is part of Microsoft’s current strategy to turn Xbox into a fully connected platform between console, cloud, and computer. Over the past few months, we’ve already seen significant improvements related to the shared library, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and new social features.
The update will start with a testing phase for Insider users, so we’ll likely see videos and screenshots showing exactly how this new achievement experience will work within Xbox on PC soon.
