Microsoft is moving forward with the next major visual update for Xbox and now we’ve finally seen the new boot sequence that’s coming to Xbox Series consoles in its entirety. After initially appearing as a small internal test, the company is now officially rolling it out to the most advanced Xbox Insider users.

For now, it’s only available to those in the Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead rings of the Xbox Insider program, although Microsoft has already made it clear that the rollout will eventually reach the rest of the players.

The new sequence bets on a much more modern and clean style, also recovering a much greater presence of the classic green color of Xbox. The console’s startup sound has also been completely revamped, seeking to give a more up-to-date feel from the moment we turn on the machine. All of this is part of the update that Xbox Insider is already testing, which also includes other important new features such as:

• New Gamerscore badges for levels.
• Visual changes to profiles and the Xbox Guide.
• New filters to better organize the digital library.
• Improved identification of shared or inactive games.

Microsoft has explained that these changes come directly from the feedback received over the past few months from the community. And judging by the initial reaction of many players, it seems that the new boot sequence is being well-received, even more so than expected.

Now all that’s left is to wait for the update to leave the Insider phases and eventually roll out to all Xbox Series users over the next few weeks.
