Rayman Legends could be much closer to returning than many expected. Over the past few months, several rumors related to the future of the Rayman saga have emerged, but now new information from Tom Henderson is reigniting player expectations.
According to the well-known insider, Ubisoft is planning to announce the supposed remake of Rayman Legends, one of the most highly-rated platformers in recent years, this summer.
The remake of Rayman Legends could be announced this summer
According to the information shared by Henderson, the project is progressing well within Ubisoft and would retain some of the most beloved elements of the original, including cooperative play.
The possible announcement would also fit with Ubisoft’s usual summer schedule, especially considering the proximity of the Summer Game Fest, which begins on June 5 and could feature multiple important announcements from the French company.
Although Ubisoft has not officially confirmed the existence of this remake, the Rayman saga has been slowly moving again over the past few months. In addition to the recent Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition, Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan are already working officially on the future of the franchise.
Many players consider Rayman Legends to still be one of the best modern platformers ever created, making the possibility of seeing it return updated for current platforms especially exciting.
