Valve continues to update compatibility for many games on its portable device, and one of the most important RPGs of the last few months has just taken a significant step. After its release in October 2025, the title has now received official certification for Steam Deck, confirming that it works correctly on the device.
Although the game could already be run on the portable device since its release, the new label guarantees an optimized experience, with controls, interface, and performance adapted to Steam Deck’s hardware.
The Outer Worlds 2 joins the official list of Steam Deck verified games
The RPG developed by Obsidian Entertainment now appears in the “Steam Deck Verified” category, the highest rating within Valve’s compatibility system.
This verification means that the game meets several important criteria to function correctly on the portable device:
-
Full Steam Deck controller compatibility.
-
Readable and adapted interface for the device’s screen.
-
Optimized configuration for playing from the start.
-
Stable performance on the portable device’s hardware.
Thanks to this update, players can explore Arcadia and continue the adventure in portable format with greater compatibility guarantee. The certification arrives several months after the game’s release and is part of Valve’s usual process for reviewing and optimizing titles within its Steam Deck catalog.
