With only a few months left until its release, we can already get a pretty clear idea of what to expect from the new installment of the series with Forza Horizon 6. The next stop in the franchise takes us to Japan, and everything suggests that it will be one of the most varied and spectacular maps in the series to date.
The team has presented five main biomes that will make up the open world, each with its own identity in terms of vegetation, elevation, and climate conditions. Additionally, the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from May, reinforcing its launch within the service from day one.
Forza Horizon 6 showcases its five biomes set in Japan
Forza Horizon 6 will bet on a Japan full of contrasts. These are the biomes confirmed so far:
-
Plains: vast open areas where the terrain and bodies of water break with the traditional idea of flat land.
-
Coast: roads along the sea with recognizable coastal landscapes and marked changes in lighting.
-
Alpine Region: snow returns and will cover this area during all four seasons, recovering one of the most requested elements by the community.
-
Lowlands: terrain with gradual slopes that showcase the country’s topographic variety.
-
Highlands: the highest area of the map, with hills and mountains that promise challenging routes.
The studio has also confirmed that each biome will have distinct vegetation and climate, affected by the seasonal system. This will be complemented by a large city inspired by Tokyo, which is still pending detailed presentation. Everything suggests that this installment will aim to combine scale, variety, and visual fidelity like never before in the series.
