As its release approaches, Crimson Desert continues to clear up doubts among players. One of the most frequently asked questions in recent weeks had to do with its monetization model: will there be microtransactions within the game?
The answer is now official. From Pearl Abyss, they have confirmed that the title will not include any type of microtransaction, which reassures those who feared an integrated store or content blocked by additional payments.
Crimson Desert will be a complete game without an internal store
The confirmation came through Will Powers, a representative of Pearl Abyss, who made it clear that buying the game will be enough to access all its playable content. There will be no store within the title, nor objects that require additional payments to progress.
The only exception mentioned corresponds to the content included in special editions, such as certain armor or exclusive mounts. These elements are part of specific versions of the game and will not be available through standard progress, but they are not integrated purchases.
However, although Crimson Desert will not have microtransactions, this does not rule out possible paid expansions in the future. Pearl Abyss has not detailed plans in this regard, but as with many current releases, additional content will depend on the game’s success.
For now, the message is clear: Crimson Desert will bet on a traditional experience, without internal payments or fragmented monetization, something that is becoming less common in high-budget productions.
