Capcom is making a move with one of its most interesting and ambitious bets. Pragmata, its new action and sci-fi IP, launches a playable demo on Xbox Series today, allowing players to try out its proposal for the first time before the final release.
The demo will arrive at the Xbox Store in the coming hours, and will serve as the first contact with a title that has been generating curiosity for its futuristic setting, its more reflective tone, and a gameplay system that combines direct action with unusual mechanics within the Japanese company’s catalog.
PRAGMATA can be tried out today on Xbox Series with its first demo
Set in a near future, PRAGMATA puts us in the shoes of Hugh, an astronaut trapped in an abandoned lunar research station, accompanied by Diana, an android with very special abilities. Both must cooperate to survive in a hostile environment, resolving situations that combine combat, exploration, and a hacking system integrated directly into the gameplay.
The demo allows us to check firsthand how Capcom is betting on a different pace than usual, alternating confrontations with more tactical sections where Diana’s use will be fundamental. The studio promises an experience designed to take advantage of the Xbox Series hardware, both technically and in situation design, with a very marked atmosphere and careful staging.
For now, Capcom has not detailed the exact duration of this trial or if it will be available for a limited time, but its arrival today on Xbox Series represents the first real step to get to know one of the most unique projects in the company’s future catalog.
