Capcom has celebrated a new Showcase focused on Resident Evil Requiem, leaving a good amount of key information about its gameplay proposal, characters, and some surprises that go beyond the game itself. The event has served to clarify important doubts and to make it clear that Requiem wants to offer two very different experiences within the same adventure.
From the very beginning, the development team has focused on the differences between its two protagonists. The choice of character is not just aesthetic: it conditions the pace, camera, combat, and the way to approach each situation, reinforcing the idea of replayability from the start.

Two very distinct gameplay styles
Leon and Grace are not played the same way. Leon bets on a more direct and aggressive experience, with clear nods to Resident Evil 4, while Grace moves in a territory closer to classic horror and constant tension, in line with Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 7. -
Differentiated camera depending on the character
Grace is shown mainly in first person, reinforcing immersion and suspense. Leon, on the other hand, is played in third person, with a wider view oriented towards combat. The perspective can be changed at any time. -
