According to Kim Kunes, Vice President of Gaming Trust & Safety at Microsoft, this alliance with Sony and Nintendo is based on a shared vision: making gaming a more welcoming and secure space for everyone, especially for children and teenagers. Since 2020, the three companies have worked together in a coordinated manner on investments, studies, and the development of common tools.

The joint effort is based on several pillars. On the one hand, prevention, with more comprehensive parental control systems that allow families to adapt the gaming experience according to age. On the other hand, greater collaboration with publishers, regulators, and law enforcement, as well as the improvement of reporting and moderation systems. The goal is clear: to act quickly against harmful behavior, remove inappropriate content, and apply firm sanctions when serious or repeated offenses occur.

This cooperation between Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch demonstrates that, beyond commercial competition, player safety is a common ground. A relevant message at a time when online gaming and digital communities have more weight than ever within the industry.
