A new wave of controversy has emerged surrounding one of the latest PlayStation exclusives. In recent hours, several content creators have reported that their videos with negative comments have been removed from YouTube due to copyright claims, a practice many consider an attempt to silence legitimate criticism.
The case has gained visibility after a official takedown notice was made public by YouTube, confirming a copyright strike against a critical video, with the usual warning that accumulating penalties can result in the closure of the channel. The situation has sparked a wave of reactions on social media and forums, where the use of such tools against negative opinions is being questioned.
Direct accusations against TeamKill Media for copyright claims
According to shared testimonies, the removal of content would be related to Code Violet, a title recently published on PlayStation with very poor reviews. In the notices received by creators, it is indicated that the entire video has been claimed for copyright, even when the content focuses on analysis, opinion, and critical comments.
- Some creators claim that it’s not an isolated case and that similar situations have already affected other well-known channels, such as DreamcastGuy’s. The tone of the reactions is clear: they believe that the copyright system is being used as a means of pressure, not as legitimate protection of content.
From a legal and platform perspective, YouTube allows disputing these types of claims, and at least one of the affected creators has publicly confirmed that they will appeal the strike and take the process to the end. Meanwhile, the debate continues to grow, especially among Xbox and other platform players, where this movement is seen as a worrying precedent for open criticism in the industry.
