Although Unreal Tournament has been abandoned for years and lacks official support from Epic Games, its legacy remains very much alive among the community. So much so, that an enthusiast has decided to take it to the next level and transfer one of the main maps from the last canceled project directly to Unreal Engine 5.7, with a result that borders on the surreal.
The work has been showcased through a 4K resolution video that explores the scenario with great detail. The visual leap compared to the original version is enormous: advanced global illumination, much more realistic materials, and a significantly higher level of detail, demonstrating the potential of Epic’s latest engine even when applied to a game that was never completed.

- One of the most striking aspects is the use of Lumen, which provides dynamic and believable lighting that reacts in real-time to environmental light sources.
