The triumph of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at The Game Awards 2025 has gone beyond just words. After taking home nine awards, including Game of the Year, the team at Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive has released an immediate special update as a thank you to the community.

Dubbed the “Thank You Update”, this update expands the RPG’s content and strengthens its offering for both new players and those who have already completed the story. This is no ordinary patch, but a package with narrative content, additional challenges, and significant technical improvements.

The most notable addition is “Verso’s Draft”, a new illustrated adventure centered around Verso’s childhood. In this additional episode, the expedition explores new locations and faces a new, dark presence, expanding the character’s backstory and the game’s universe. This experience is accompanied by new musical compositions by Lorien Testard, the award-winning composer behind the game’s soundtrack.

• For players who have already completed the main story, the update adds new high-level encounters in the Infinite Tower. These challenges are designed to test advanced configurations and more demanding playstyles, offering new outfits, equipment, and Pictos as rewards.
• Another highly requested feature is the Photo Mode, which is now available and allows players to capture in-game scenes, adjust frames, and share images directly on social media.
• In terms of technical and accessibility features, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 expands its language support, adding Latin American Spanish, Czech, Ukrainian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian. Additionally, it integrates AMD FSR 4 and frame generation on compatible GPUs, improving both sharpness and overall smoothness.

The patch also includes optimizations and quality adjustments across all platforms, fine-tuning performance and stability after one of the year’s most successful launches. An update that further reinforces the impact of an RPG that has already made its mark.
