Microsoft is making another move to strengthen its mobile strategy. The company is working on a new integrated store within the Xbox app for iOS and Android, according to the latest update shared by Tom Warren on X. A significant step that brings the Xbox ecosystem closer to phones and tablets, without relying solely on the console or browser.
The feature is not yet publicly available, but early screenshots show a fully integrated store section, with direct access to game purchases, digital content, and possibly expansions and products associated with the player’s profile. This is a move that has been rumored for some time and fits with Microsoft’s plans to take Xbox beyond traditional hardware.
The new Xbox mobile store: what this integration means
Leaked images reveal an interface very similar to the Xbox Store, adapted for mobile devices. The menu includes direct access to:
-
Games and add-ons, organized by category.
-
Deals and promotions, like those already available on console.
-
Personalized recommendations, based on the user’s profile.
-
Access to Game Pass, with cards and details designed for small screen reading.
This integration would allow users to buy games from their mobile device and send them directly to their console or PC, something that until now could only be done through external websites. It also opens the door for Microsoft to take another step in its mobile strategy, especially after changes in digital store regulations in Europe.
Without an official release date, but with an already advanced interface, everything suggests that the new Xbox mobile store could be announced soon. A very natural evolution for an ecosystem that continues to expand.
