Squanch Games is back with a bang, showing off how the sequel to their quirky space shooter is evolving is coming to Xbox Game Pass on February 13, 2026. Following the success of the first game on Game Pass, the studio has released a new video focused on polishing the formula for its upcoming release next February. The community had been waiting for months to see something more solid, and finally, we get a broad look at its revamped gameplay.
This time around, the studio takes us to Pinkline Harbor, one of the three major hubs from which our protagonist will move with their group of talking guns. It’s an open environment, full of side paths, quirky characters, and situations that blend combat, platforming, and small sections of free exploration.
High on Life 2 will arrive on day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass
The new gameplay shows several improvements over the original. The movement is more fluid thanks to a futuristic skateboard that allows for quick travel between areas, the animations respond better, and the scenarios seem more varied and interactive. We also see the gun allies with new functions and more integrated dialogue, something fans had been asking for since the first game.
The story will once again revolve around an intergalactic conspiracy threatening humanity, with a tone marked by the studio’s signature craziness. The protagonist will have to travel to different planets, face various enemies, and rely on a living arsenal (literally) to make their way through increasingly strange places.
