The latest update for Dying Light: The Beast has arrived, marking a before and after for the game. The studio had been hinting for weeks that this would be the most ambitious update for the project, and that’s exactly what it is. Among the most notable new features are the long-awaited New Game+, Legend Levels to continue advancing after the end of the game, and the integration of Ray Tracing, which transforms the lighting and reflections in Castor Woods.
Dying Light: The Beast – All the new features of update 1.4
The addition of New Game+ expands the experience from the very first minute. Players can relive the story while keeping their weapons, upgrades, and stats, while enemies scale up their difficulty to offer a consistent challenge.
The highly anticipated Legend Levels also make their debut, a classic system in the saga that allows players to continue developing their character beyond the main tree. From level 15, all experience gained is converted into Legend points, which can be invested in additional health, offensive upgrades, and a more powerful Beast Mode.
Graphics and more
- The patch also revamps the technical aspect. Ray Tracing arrives with improvements in shadows, reflections, and lighting behavior, reinforcing the atmosphere of the forest and providing a notable visual leap. Techland takes the opportunity to fix over 70 graphical issues, including textures, clipping errors, and poorly rendered objects, resulting in a more polished and consistent presentation.
As an additional incentive, Techland has activated limited-time rewards and events. Players who log in between November 27th and December 2nd will receive the Bloody Bowie Knife as a gift, and until November 30th, there will be a period of double experience to advance faster in the new progression. During these days, Dying Light: The Beast will also have a promotional discount of up to 25% on all platforms.
