December usually brings some movement in digital stores (although normally in the form of discounts and sales), but this year is an exception. Several publishers have started confirming which titles will no longer be available on Xbox throughout the month, and it’s worth keeping in mind for those who collect digital games or want to complete their library before they disappear.
Although it’s not the first time this has happened, it’s still surprising that several well-known licenses are leaving at the same time, accompanied by a couple of indie games that are also closing their chapter. Additionally, some of them have received significant discounts, a common gesture before a definitive withdrawal.
Games being removed from the Xbox Store in December
Four titles from Outright Games will stop being sold on December 31st:
-
Blaze and the Monster Machines: Axle City Racers
-
JoJo Siwa: Worldwide Party (currently discounted to under 5 € in the Store)
-
The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem
-
Transformers: Battlegrounds (Complete Edition currently under 10 € in the Store)
Beyond these family-friendly licenses, two indie games are also leaving:
-
Basureroes: Invasion — December 5th
-
Road to Exotics — December 31st
As always in these cases, those who purchase them before the deadline will still be able to download and play them normally. What will disappear is the option to acquire them in the Xbox Store, usually due to license agreement expiration or internal decisions by each publisher.
A timely warning for those who want to take advantage of the last offers and avoid losing any of these titles forever in digital format.
