The story of Enzo in Mafia: The Old Country expands tomorrow on Xbox Series with the free update Free Ride, a package designed for those who want to continue exploring Valle Dorata with more freedom, additional challenges, and new ways to explore its world inspired by early 20th-century Sicily. Hangar 13 maintains the tradition of the saga and recovers one of the most beloved modes by fans, now adapted to the scale and style of the latest title.
Free Ride arrives as additional content for all Xbox players and unlocks automatically after updating the game. The studio’s goal is to offer more replayable content without altering the main campaign, allowing players to return to key locations with completely new playable variants.
Free Ride arrives tomorrow on Xbox Series: this is what it includes
The update adds a series of innovations designed to expand the experience:
-
Combat Challenges, with intense shootouts, direct duels, and prepared confrontations to test your aim.
-
Stealth Challenges, ideal for experimenting with alternative routes and more precise executions.
-
Competitions and Races, placed in less-traveled areas of the map to discover places that go unnoticed in the campaign.
-
Dinari Rewards, which allow you to unlock new outfits, weapons, vehicles, and amulets for both Free Ride and the campaign.
-
New Travel Points (Hitching Posts) and contacts scattered throughout Valle Dorata to access specific challenges.
-
First-person driving mode in the entire saga, designed to increase immersion in narrow streets and rural roads.
-
Photo Mode integrated, perfect for capturing views, scenes, and historic vehicles with greater detail.
-
Cinema Siciliano Mode, a visual reinterpretation with a classic film aesthetic in black and white.
-
Classic Difficulty, designed for those who want a tougher challenge during the story.
These innovations directly affect the exploration experience: first-person driving completely changes the way we move around the map, while races and combat reuse mission locations to give them an alternative use. Everything unlocked in Free Ride can also be used in the campaign, expanding tools and options from the first chapter.
On Xbox, the update will be available starting November 20th for all players who have the game. A free addition that expands content, improves exploration, and gives new life to Mafia: The Old Country in its console version.
