ASUS has released a significant update today for all models in the Ally family, including the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X. The rollout comes with a new version of Armoury Crate SE and a series of internal improvements that affect performance, stability, and system control. This is one of the most comprehensive revisions in recent months, covering CPU, power, BIOS, MCU, drivers, and system functions.
The update is available starting November 18th and is distributed through both Armoury Crate SE and Windows Update, depending on the component. ASUS details significant changes for power control, sensor improvements, new touch panel functions, and optimizations for Modern Standby.
New features in the latest update for ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X
The main update arrives with Armoury Crate SE 2.1.15.0, which incorporates expanded CPU adjustments for newer models, improvements to the full-screen experience, a new notification system, integration of Radeon Chill behavior into the FPS limiter, and adjustments to this limit to align with the 120Hz panel. It also adds power options in Windows, improves the gyroscope algorithm, and updates the design of the bottom bar.
In the internal section, improvements are included in the online update process, support for Wi-Fi portals, and new default values for functions such as AMD RSR or system idle time.
The ROG Xbox Ally (RC73YA) models also receive:
-
MCU 322 with new debugging features
-
BIOS 315 with lower power consumption in Modern Standby and improvements in the update process
-
Power firmware V10.1.2.27
-
AMD GPU driver V25.10.25.27 with improved performance and audio fixes
On the other hand, the ROG Xbox Ally X (RC73XA) adds:
-
MCU 321 with improved vibration in Impulse Triggers
-
BIOS 312 with optimization of the update process and improvements in Cloud Recovery
-
New touch panel firmware
-
Power firmware V10.1.2.15
-
AMD GPU driver V25.10.25.27
-
AMD Chipset driver V7.03.26.2151 with general performance improvements
A comprehensive update that leaves both machines more stable, polished, and with finer control over power and performance.
