Rockstar Games has reacted quickly to the recent delay of Grand Theft Auto 6. Just hours after it was confirmed that the highly anticipated title would no longer arrive in May 2026, the company updated the Trailer 2 of the game, replacing the previous release date with the new official launch date: November 19, 2026.
The updated video maintains exactly the same content as the original version, except for the correction of the release date at the end of the trailer, which can now be seen on Rockstar’s official YouTube channels and social media. This move aims to avoid confusion among fans who continue to revisit the trailers, especially after the huge success of the first one, which has accumulated over 260 million views.
Rockstar Sets the Stage for the GTA 6 Trailer 3
Despite the controversy surrounding the delay, everything suggests that Rockstar plans to rekindle excitement with a new trailer soon. According to speculation, the GTA 6 Trailer 3 could be released to coincide with the opening of pre-orders in physical and digital stores, offering new details about the game’s open world and protagonists.
Right now, it’s very difficult to know what Rockstar’s next steps will be with the game, although everything suggests that we’ll see new material at some point.
For now, the studio remains silent, but the move to update the second trailer demonstrates that the promotional machine is still in motion and that the November 2026 release date is now the definitive launch date for the most anticipated game of the decade.
