The statement from yesterday, signed by Rockstar Games itself, confirmed what many feared (including myself): GTA 6 won’t arrive in May, but rather by the end of 2026. The news hasn’t left anyone indifferent, especially after Take-Two Interactive‘s stocks plummeted over 18% following the announcement. Now, according to new leaks shared by internal sources, the company is preparing an immediate response to try and calm down the fans.

This information, shared through various sources, suggests that GTA 6’s trailer 3 could be released today at noon (take this with caution), as a way to make up for the delay. The goal would be to showcase real development progress, focusing on gameplay and technical details.
Internal leaks about GTA 6’s new status
According to the same sources, the project’s internal situation isn’t going through its best moment. It’s said that the gameplay is currently “horrible“, which would explain the additional months of development needed to reach the level of quality Rockstar promises.
Furthermore, there’s talk of a major change in the game’s prologue and ending, which could have forced the team to redo fundamental parts of the narrative design and mission flow. It’s also mentioned that the company is focusing all its efforts on achieving unprecedented visual realism, with final graphics much more detailed than those shown in previous trailers.
Another surprising point is the estimated game size: according to reports, the final version would be compressed to over 370 GB, making it one of the most massive productions ever published on console.
Although Rockstar hasn’t confirmed any of these leaks, the community is in a state of high anticipation. With the delay already on the table, the next trailer could mark a turning point in the public’s perception of the studio’s most ambitious project.
