Last weekend, we shared with you a really interesting news story about the return of Xbox 360 retrocompatible games to the Xbox Store. To put things into context, these games are titles that were previously available for purchase on the now-defunct Xbox 360 store, but were left out when Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles were released, making them unavailable for digital purchase.

The games marked as “coming soon to the Store” vary from one store to another. In other words, the Spanish Store has games that are not marked as coming soon, even though they may be marked as such in other stores. To that end, I’ve decided to compile a list of all the games currently on the Xbox Store that do not have an active purchase option, but still have a game page.

The conclusion we can draw is that there’s nothing certain about what will happen with these games in the future. Some titles, like Origins, are almost impossible to bring back, as they were never available for purchase on the Xbox 360 in digital format.
Others, like Rock Band 3, would be very unusual to see return. The ones that raise the most doubts are the two Left 4 Dead games, as both titles could still be sold and would likely generate sales. However, they have also disappeared. We’ll see what happens soon, as it could be an error or a new move by Microsoft to recover forgotten games, like a new effort to bring back classic titles.
