Paradox Interactive has released the first official patch for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, aiming to solve some of the most common issues reported since its launch. This update 1.0.1, available only on PC, marks the beginning of a series of improvements that the studio promises to continue over the coming weeks.

The team has focused this first patch on resolving the bugs that most affected the player experience, especially those related to game startup. They have also reminded players that after applying the update, the first launch may take longer than usual, which is normal according to the statement.

Hotfix 1.0.1: all the improvements in the update

The 1.0.1 patch currently fixes a specific but important issue:

• Fixed an error that blocked the title screen, preventing progress to the main menu.

Although it seems like a minor adjustment, the developers assure that they will continue working on other errors, general comments, and performance issues detected by the community. Additionally, they have shared some practical tips for players who still encounter issues in their games:

• Use telekinesis if an object blocks your way.

• Try Fabien’s abilities on people or objects to progress.

• If you run out of blood, look for potions nearby: there are always some in the environment.

• If the elevator doesn’t respond, explore the ventilation ducts using your heightened senses.

• Observe and touch the paintings with your heightened senses: some hide secrets.

This first patch represents an initial step in the game’s post-launch maintenance, which has received a mixed reception from the community. Paradox has enabled an official error reporting form and recommends contacting their technical support in case of issues related to the launcher, pre-order codes, or Blood Points.
