Fans of Dragon Ball now have a date with the next big announcement from the franchise. Bandai Namco has confirmed that it will unveil a new Dragon Ball video game during the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event, which will take place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, the same venue where the Tokyo Game Show is held.
The main panel, titled “Genkida Stage+ New Game Super Announcement Stage!”, will take place on January 25, 2026, between 11:00 and 11:30 local Japanese time, which is equivalent to 03:00-03:30 in Spain and 20:00-20:30 on January 24 in Mexico City.
A new Dragon Ball game is on the way
Although Bandai Namco has not revealed any details about the title, the use of terms like “New Game” and “Game Project” makes it clear that this is a new installment and not additional content for existing games like Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero.
The event will also include presentations related to Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, Dragon Ball Legends, Dragon Ball Card Game Fusion World, and other projects from the franchise. There will also be panels with artists and voice actors, including Masako Nozawa, the original voice of Goku in Japan.
For now, many fans are speculating about the possibility of it being Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, although nothing has been officially confirmed. The anticipation is building, and everything points to January 2026 marking the beginning of a new era for Dragon Ball games.
