The universe of Dragon Ball FighterZ will continue to expand in 2026. Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft have announced a new DLC inspired by the Dragon Ball Daima series, which will expand the roster of fighters with some of the most iconic characters from the universe created by Akira Toriyama.
The big news of the additional content will be the incorporation of Goku in his Super Saiyan 4 form, a legendary transformation that has been long-awaited by fans and was not previously available in the game. Additionally, the package will include six new characters from the Daima series, along with a major balance patch that will adjust the techniques and dynamics of the combat system.
The Dragon Ball Daima DLC will arrive in spring 2026
The announcement was made during the EVO France 2025, where Bandai Namco confirmed that this expansion will be available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Before its release, the game will receive a free update (yesterday, October 12th), which will apply the first balance changes to the Z-Reflect system and improve the overall performance of the gameplay.
With this new content, Dragon Ball FighterZ reaffirms its position as one of the modern benchmarks of the 2D fighting genre, combining speed, visual fidelity, and a level of detail that continues to set it apart in the current console generation. Fans will be able to relive the spirit of Daima with new battles, stages, and transformations that further expand the legacy of the saga.
