With the release of Battlefield 6 just around the corner, many players are wondering if the new EA title will be available from day one on Xbox Game Pass or EA Play. The answer, for now, is no: the game will not be included in either of these services on console at launch.
However, subscribers to EA Play Pro on PC will have full access to the game from launch day, as part of their premium subscription. Meanwhile, members of Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play standard will be able to enjoy a 10% discount on the digital purchase of the title within the Xbox Store, where the launch price is $62.99.
When could Battlefield 6 arrive on Xbox Game Pass
Although there is no confirmed date, Electronic Arts’ trend in recent releases suggests that Battlefield 6 could join the EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate catalog around a year after its release, just like Battlefield 2042 and other recent installments in the series.
For now, those who can’t wait that long can take advantage of EA Play bonuses, which include discounts, extra experience points, and early access to future tests or events.
Download size on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S
The installation size also varies depending on the console. On Xbox Series X, Battlefield 6 takes up around 76.5 GB with all packages installed, while on Xbox Series S the size is reduced to around 43 GB, thanks to the modular download system that allows installing only the necessary components.
This makes Battlefield 6 one of the most optimized titles in the series in terms of space, without compromising its visual aspect or performance. Those who were hoping to enjoy it from day one with Game Pass will have to wait as always, but the benefits of EA Play remain a good alternative to save on the launch.
