The future of the Silent Hill saga seems to be more alive than ever. Following the release of Silent Hill 2 Remake, developed by Bloober Team, and the official confirmation of the remake of the first game, new rumors point to the Polish studio already working on a modern revision of Silent Hill 3. However, according to the leaks, the wait will be long: its release won’t arrive before 2028.
The information comes from Biohazard Ultimate, a well-known insider specializing in horror titles and the Resident Evil franchise, who claims that the remake of the third installment is already in the early stages of development. If confirmed, this would solidify the long-term collaboration between Konami and Bloober Team after the good results obtained with the Silent Hill 2 remake.
Bloober Team Prepares the Remake of Silent Hill 3
According to the cited sources, the studio is working in parallel on Silent Hill 1 Remake (officially confirmed) and on the initial foundations of the Silent Hill 3 Remake project, whose initial planning points to a release in 2028. The team’s current priority is to complete the new version of the first game, but the ultimate goal would be to recreate the entire trilogy of the saga with the same technical treatment.
Renowned leaker Dusk Golem, a regular in horror and survival horror topics, has also coincided with this information. According to him, Silent Hill 3 Remake is already on Konami’s roadmap, although its active development won’t begin in full swing until within a couple of years. Therefore, no official announcement is expected in the short term.
In the meantime, Bloober Team could present a new original project inspired by Resident Evil, with the provisional name of Biohazard Ultimate. This title would be an independent IP, and according to the same sources, could be released in 2026. Everything points to it being showcased at The Game Awards 2025, where the studio would take the opportunity to detail its future within the horror genre.
