EA Sports FC 26 is gearing up for its worldwide launch this Friday, September 26th with the standard edition, following its early access debut last Friday. To coincide with this release, EA has published a gameplay patch that introduces several key changes to the way matches unfold.
The update aims to balance both defense and offense, fine-tuning passes, player positioning, and the accuracy of certain shots.
EA Sports FC 26 Gameplay Patch Changes
-
Center-backs: less prone to over-committing when marking in the center.
-
Power shots: reduced accuracy when executed with too much force.
-
Ground passes: more consistent and less likely to fall short of the receiver.
-
Power ground passes: less accurate in complicated situations, such as when turning 180 degrees or using the outside of the foot.
-
Wingers: increase their runs into the box.
-
Offensive full-backs: no longer retreat excessively when the team has possession.
-
Low-block defense: improved player positioning, preventing them from pushing too far forward.
-
False full-backs: more intelligent transitions to defense to maintain the team’s shape.
With this patch applied, EA Sports FC 26 offers a more balanced and realistic experience from day one, both for those already playing in early access and for those who will be starting with the standard edition this Friday.
