Since its release, Hollow Knight Silksong has been constantly receiving attention from Team Cherry. After the first patch that smoothed out the difficulty of some initial battles, the studio has released version 1.0.28650, now available on all platforms, including Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and PC.
This time, the update doesn’t introduce significant changes to gameplay, but rather focuses on fixing minor issues reported by the community in recent days. This means that most players won’t notice drastic differences in their gameplay, although they will experience a more polished and stable performance.
New Features in Hollow Knight Silksong Patch 2
Among the additions that come with this new version, there are two key points to highlight:
-
New Dithering graphics option: designed to reduce color banding on screen. However, it may affect the sharpness of some backgrounds.
-
Adjustments to achievement and objective descriptions: now offering clearer instructions for players to unlock them.
Otherwise, the bulk of the patch is dedicated to fixing stability, interface, and gameplay errors, with the goal of improving the experience without altering the game’s essence.
What Can We Expect from the Next Patch?
Team Cherry has confirmed that they are already working on patch 3, which will take longer to arrive compared to the first two. The main new feature will be improved controller compatibility on PC, something the community has been asking for since the game’s release.
In the meantime, those who enjoy Hollow Knight Silksong on console or PC can now download the second patch and check out the introduced adjustments firsthand.
