WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers continues to grow thanks to community feedback. Since its release, the development team has been fine-tuning performance and adding new content, and now comes version 1.6, a patch that promises to improve the PC experience while also rewarding loyalty to those who bet on the title from the start.
The patch, which takes up approximately 5.3 GB, must be downloaded through Steam. The studio recommends restarting the platform, and after updating, claiming rewards within the game in the Donation Box of the Reverent Temple. In case of incidents such as blockages or startup failures, a help section has been enabled on the official 505 Games website.
Exclusive content for the Deluxe Edition
One of the most anticipated novelties is the arrival of the Deluxe Expansion Pack 1, the first part of the content promised to players who acquired the Deluxe Edition or the Deluxe Upgrade Pack. This expansion includes:
-
New themed outfits: Forged Iron Costume and Radiant Costume.
-
New weapons: Hooked Blade Spear and Blazing Nightlotus.
The studio has confirmed that two more suits and two additional weapons will arrive in future updates, planned within 2025.
In total, after version 1.6, Deluxe edition owners have an arsenal of 6 exclusive suits and 6 exclusive weapons, in addition to a skill upgrade item (Blood of Changhong Skill Upgrade Item).
Gifts for all players
The update also includes a free gift for any user, regardless of the edition acquired. After installing the patch, it is possible to claim two pieces of exclusive headgear:
-
Bo Sorcerer’s Crown
-
Ming Army Helmet
A gesture of gratitude towards the entire community that has supported WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers in its first months of life.
Main performance improvements
Patch 1.6 not only focuses on content, but also reinforces the game’s technical stability. Among the most notable changes are:
-
Correction of excessive blur in DLSS Ultra Performance at certain resolutions.
-
Optimization of VRAM usage, significantly reducing graphics memory consumption in multiple configurations.
To illustrate the improvements, the studio has shared tests performed with different graphics cards:
-
On an RTX 3050 Laptop (4 GB), consumption dropped from 4.2 GB to 3.5 GB.
-
On an RTX 2060 (6 GB), it went from 5.3 GB to 4.6 GB.
-
On an RTX 3070 (8 GB), it was reduced from 6.6 GB to 6.0 GB.
Although the decreases may seem small, these optimizations translate into a more fluid and stable experience, especially in demanding scenarios like the Lightzen Temple Shrine.
An expanding future
The team recalls that this patch is just one more step on the path, and that they will continue to fine-tune the game based on community comments. In their own words: “each improvement, each expansion, and each adjustment has been possible thanks to the support of the players”.
With this ongoing effort, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers solidifies its position as one of the most solid action and role-playing titles of 2025, and promises to continue adding content and improvements in the coming months.
